Don't ever underestimate your presence in another person's life. You have the power to impact another life in a way only YOU can. Don't sell yourself short.

Sometimes you get those people who say just the right thing in the right moment. They ask the right questions and just like that, they unlock you from the shackles of human affliction.

Birds of a Feather...

Find people who are as enthused and as passionate about the same aspects of life that you are. It's no use being around people who constantly trivialise the things you care about. That won't do at all.

Your Dreams > People's Opinions

You are going to have to disappoint and offend a number of people in the pursuit of your dream. You are going to have to make a few people uncomfortable in the pursuit of your own comfort.

Hiatus

Won't be posting for a few weeks. Going through the suck & it unfortunately has me lost for words. Just in need of a little r&r . Construction will resume soon. =]

Humble Beginnings

You have everything you need in this moment to sustain you. Use it as a footstool to elevate you, to get you to where you want to be. If you can do something good with the little you have, imagine what you'll be able to do with more.

Anti-Complex

Complexes are time consuming & character erosive. You have neither the time nor the mindset to develop one so don't allow other people to project their insecurities onto you.

Have a Little Faith

Faith is having the audacity to believe that the reality that exists for other people does not apply to you. "A thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right but it shall not come near you..."

Don't Die Dreaming

You are not going to die with your dreams. They are much too big to fit in a coffin anyway.

Live!

You were not born to simply exist, you were born to live and to do so in abundance so don't be content with just surviving through this life, thrive! Make it so that when you leave this earth, they will say of you "that person lived and they did so most excellently."

Be Good to People

Be good to people. Be kind, be tolerant, be nonjudgmental. You have no idea what influence even a stranger may have over your life. Whether it be in that exact moment or somewhere down the line. People will always remember how you treated them.

Archipelagoes

Being surrounded by people doesn't always mean you never feel lonely. Being alone doesn't always mean you're lonely either.

Don't Fit in

Some people don't stand out because they're too busy trying to fit in.

Build YOU up

In life there are builders and there are brick throwers. The builders tend to be the oddballs, the idealists, the dreamers, the visionaries & then you have the brick throwers: those that are far too stunted in perception and ingenuity to deviate from the norm, too content with mediocrity to build anything worth a damn. It's not that they are incapable, it's just that they find it easier to let negativity pile up and consume them. It becomes so overwhelming and burdensome that they want to share it so they begin to throw it at the builders. To knock them down and bring them to their level. That's why I'm talking to you, the builder... use the bricks they throw at you to build your castle, to expand your fortress and live there, forever untouched by those pesky brick throwers.

Friend or Foe

I don't understand this constant need some women have to outdo one another. I wasn't created to compete with you. Nor was I created to stroke your ego. I was instead, like you, created to be the best me I can be. I can be your friend & I can be your sister. I can only be your enemy when you allow me to be.

Silence the naysayers

It's not always your enemy that stops you from pursuing your purpose. Sometimes it's the people closest to you, your family, your friends & worse still, yourself. Don't let doubt set in. Don't allow people to discourage you. Tell them to mind their own business and work on their calling. It's not their dream, it's your's. 10 year's down the line you're the one who'll be dealing with the consequences of your actions. Make those actions count.
